Hearing Einar talk about the challenges of traveling and touring is quite relatable, as I used to be a long haul truck driver spending upwards of four months away from home. The major difference is that it's all work, no time to rest, no time to go out and experience nature, sleeping in a cramped truck cabin. It is physically and spiritually damaging and exhausting.

Great to see Dr. Williams speak of Heavener Runestone again. SE corner of Colorado to Heavner Runestone is 675 mile minimum which is 1086Km just as Henrik said. West Coast Sweden at Goteburg to East Coast Stockholm, which I have personally driven Oktober 2023 and have met Dr. Williams in Uppsala, is 290miles / 675Km by comparison. Dr. Williams says the stone, as to why/who it was carved is, a "Total Mystery." An actual scholar who has been to and laid his hand on the Heavener Runestone; unlike a Canadian farse youtube poster. Martians = Aliens = Scandinavians 😎

As a Finn I can hear Peters Finnish Swedish in this and I think it is cool that Icelanders can follow the spelling. Both regions have kept some of the ancient way of pronounciation. Both in Swedish and I guess in Finnish too, since even though icelandic is not related per say it still sounds the same.

I think that is a great choice cause the people look like normal people instead of jacked up muscled wrestlers of America doing fancy moves.

Valhalla Rising was tonally wonderful. The Northman was like a cinematic telling of a Norse Saga. Recommend both.

We really need more viking movies; especially ones with more accurate vikings. And while the vikings are very stereotypical, and not really the main focus, my favorite "viking" movie atm is the first How to Train your Dragon film.

"Severed Ways" "Valhalla Rising" & "The 13th Warrior." were all decent.

Great podcast episode. I was glad to hear the 13th Warrior brought up and the story behind the wardrobe. I never knew that and always considered that movie as one of my favorites. If you want to see a horror/monster/viking movie, you should watch Head Hunter. For a low budget film, it hit above it's weight class.

Outlander is actually very entertaining. How to train your dragon is our family favorite.
